I READ with disgust the article about Conisbrough Church having the lead stolen from the roof. I was married at that church and it is a beautiful place. I hope the scum who stole the lead rot in Hell.
But we have to ask: where are our police, because this church is not the first and more than likely it won't be the last so why wasn't the church protected in some way?

And yes I am going to mention them, where were those super-duper PCSOs or as I call them, Blunkett's plonkers, but I forgot, they don't come out at night. They must be scared of the dark. The questions have to be asked of our senior policemen, when are they going to come up with some strategy to catch the scumbags?

Also thieves have struck on the railways, stealing the signalling cables. When is it going to be stopped? Lives are being put at risk, so there has to be someone in the police with enough brains to think of a plan or has somebody got to die first?
