The A1(M) at Doncaster was closed for a number of hours last night due to a police incident.
A police spokesman told the Free Press that the A1M northbound between junctions 35 and 36 was closed at around 7.35pm yesterday (Monday 24 July) following reports of concern for safety of a woman on a bridge.
South Yorkshire Police officers attended and the woman was brought to safety and taken to hospital.
