Police have arrested a woman in a Doncaster village for harassing a gay neighbour.

Officers from the Doncaster East neighbourhood policing team said they had made the arrest as part of an operation carried out across the district as part of a day of action which also included officers from other police teams.

A spokesman said they had arrested a female “for repeated homophobic harassment on a neighbour in Armthorpe."

They added officers had been looking to remand her in custody.
