Fire crews have spent most of the night battling a large blaze on a Doncaster industrial estate.

Three crews – two from Doncaster and one from Adwick – were called out to the incident near Adwick railway station at about 10.50pm.

The blaze – understood to be an accidental skip fire in a salvage yard in Planet Road – raged for nearly four hours, before crews departed the scene at about 2.35am.

At one stage, the flames could be seen from several miles away according to eyewitnesses.
