WOMBWELL Cricket Lovers' winter speaker programme continues on Thursday, 13th November, with the visit of cricket journalist and Wisden Cricketers' Almanack editor Scyld Berry. The meeting starts at 7.45pm at Ardsley Oaks WMC, Stairfoot, nr Barnsley. New members welcome.
THE Society's coaching registration evening takes place on Thursday 20th November. Guest speaker will be Yorkshire CCC Director of Coaching Martyn Moxon. Young cricketers wishing to register for the classes, which start in January 2009, should contact the Society's coaching co-ordinator John Ambler (01226 747516) for full details.

THERE is a change to the programme on 27th November. Former England Ladies captain and now the ECB's Head of Womens Cricket Clare Connor is unable to attend. However, the Society will be presenting its EH Umbers award for Services to Yorkshire Cricket to Yorkshire CCC groundsman Andy Fogarty.

TICKETS for the Society's Christmas lunch at Brooklands Hotel, Dodworth, on Sunday, 14th December, can be obtained from Function officer Ron Firth (01302 707210). Special guests will be Yorkshire CCC President Brian Close and Society Patron Don Wilson.
