The Free Press understands the 20-year-old was Darren Moore’s number one target to fill his goalkeeping vacancy and he has waited patiently for the go-ahead for the signing to be completed.
Though youth team graduate Louis Jones is held in high regard at Rovers, Moore is keen to build his experience in the coming campaign and wanted to add a first choice goalkeeper to his squad after allowing Ian Lawlor to join Oldham Athletic on a season-long loan.

Hide AdEngland U20 international Bursik spent last season on loan with Accrington Stanley where he made 20 appearances before the campaign was ended by the Covid-19 pandemic.
He is seen as a number one in the making for Stoke – who he joined as a 16-year-old from AFC Wimbledon – and has been tipped to be on the elite goalkeepers in England.
Prior to last season he had spent time on loan at Hednesford and AFC Telford.
